The computer lab program continues to be a tremendous success at bringing technology to the community.  In an increasingly interconnected world, access to technology is essential.  An intial idea to bring more computers and internet access to the Pontiac area brought about a partnership with local businesses and non-profits to provide computer labs around the community.  The computer lab program has now expanded to 52 computer labs, with over 270 computers with up to date software.  Their are also 11 lab locations outside of Pontiac provided through this program.  Applications continue to be taken, as the program has computers and software to continue expansion. 

The community computer lab effort has been a unique partnership with Rep. Melton and the Take One community program.  Specials thanks is attributed to Take One and St. Joeseph's Mercy Hospital for their continued support in this effort.

• We like to start each computer lab with five (5) computers. But we will make arrangements if needed.
• We will lend the computers and software and will be responsible for any issues with the computers. We are not responsible for moving tables for set up or any other hard labor work; your site must be prepared for operation before the computers are delivered.
• We request that the computer lab be open at least three (3) days each week.
• Each site is responsible for providing its own internet connection and operating equipment.
• Each site is also responsible for providing your own volunteers to supervise the computer labs and to make sure that everyone signs in on the sign in sheet provided.
• Each facility is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment.
• We reserve the right to remove computers from your facility if they are not being used, or are being used inappropriately. We ask that your facility properly cares for the computers.
