The group, America's Promise has done some tremendous work in working on education issues related to students in underperforming school districts. Cities such as Philadelphia and Kansas City have made double digit improvements in the past decade. I don't think it is a conincidence that these two cities have made a focused effort on turning around their lowest performing schools. |
